Only buses under 8,5 m have access to the parking facilities at the zoo!Attention! Please note that the parking facilities at the Alpenzoo belong to the city of Innsbruck and are therefore part of their charging zones. The parking fee has to be paid daily from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm (also on weekends and holidays).During the first four hours the fee is 20 cents for each half hour, after that you pay a rate of 1 euro for each half hour.
The Alpenzoo can be easily reached on foot. It´s only a 20 minute walk from the city centre.
The combi ticket is available at the lower terminal of the cable railway “Innsbrucker Nordkettenbahn” (Congress Innsbruck). Please show you parking ticket when you buy the combi card.

Take a bus from the main train station to the „Marktplatz“ (see Routenplaner IVB). At the "Marktplatz" take the W bus. It runs on a daily basis at 30 minute intervals, the first one leaving the Marktplatz at 6.16 am (6.30 am and then at 30 minute intervals. The return bus also runs at every 30 minutes, the first one leaving the Alpenzoo at 6.21 am. The last bus back to the city leaves at 22.51 pm (see line W).

The zoo can be reached by car via the Weiherburggasse or the Richardsweg. We only have a limited parking area and – as mentioned above – parking is subject to fees.
The Alpenzoo is not accessible to tour buses longer than 8.5 m. Buses exceeding this length must be parked in the parking lot at the Hofgarten.
