A visit to the ALPENZOO is a special experience at any time of year! Almost all animal species can also be seen in winter, as only the marmots, reptiles and amphibians sleep through the cold season. Most young animals are born in the ALPENZOO from April to June, with ibex, chamois and roe deer born in May to June. From the beginning of March, on the other hand, many bird species are mating or busy building their nests, which is always exciting to watch.
The Alpenzoo is open all year round. In summer from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm and in winter from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
The “Hungerburgbahn” runs every 15 minutes.
The Alpenzoo specialises in those animals of the Alpine region. This means that the most popular animals include the brown bear, lynx, wolf, moose, otter, vulture, etc.
No, dogs and other pets are not allowed in the Alpenzoo.
The farm animals can be petted and fed at the farm.
Ja, beim Alpenzoo stehen gebührenpflichtige Parkplätze zur Verfügung. Die Parkgebühren betragen täglich (Montag – Sonntag, Feiertags) von 9.00 – 19.00 Uhr für die ersten 3 Stunden 50 Cent pro halbe Stunde, jede weitere halbe Stunde kostet 1 €. Ein Behindertenparkplatz ist vorhanden.
Für Reisebusse größer als 8,5 m Gesamtlänge steht der Busparkplatz am Hofgarten zur Verfügung.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Parkplätze an manchen Wochenenden und Feiertagen überlastet sein können. In solchen Fällen empfehlen wir, auf die Hungerburgbahn und die Buslinie W auszuweichen. Diese Alternativen sind besonders für Busgruppen geeignet.

Unsere Schließfächer sind täglich zugänglich von 9:00 bis 18:00. Bitte leeren sie das Schließfach vor der Sperrstunde.
Diese Schließfächer werden nur auf Basis einer Gefälligkeit zur Verfügung gestellt; es wird sohin insbesondere kein Verwahrungsvertrag begründet. Die Schließfächer werden daher nicht überwacht oder beaufsichtigt; sie sind nicht geeignet, um wertvolle Gegenstände darin zu deponieren.
